Need help for H1-H4 Visa

Hi folks,

I want to know whether is it possible that I have filed my H1 and selected in lottery(Waiting for petition approval) also my husband's petition got approved but we are not clear that i should go for H4 at the time of his stamping or i should wait for my h1 stamping results.

1.Since by law is it possible that till i got my petition approval mean time i can go for H4 visa?
2. else if i got H1 stamped then for some reason if am not able to work then i can apply H4 visa?

Please do answer on my both of the queries.

Under what status did you apply for H1.

Further are you inside US or outside US

Once you get H1B and if you dont have job then you can switch to H4 status by being a dependant under your spouse's H-1B status

I have no status now means i dont hold any type of visa i.e. H4 or H1

Also,currently i am outside US

Please wait for the result of your H-1B. If you are not selected in this quota, then go for H4 stamping if your spouse has H-1b visa status and working in US.
You cannot do the H4 stamping if your husband is in India and H-1B visa stamping process not done.

or
You can go along with your spouse when he goes for H-1B stamping simtaneoulsy you can also get the H4 stamping in your passport.

Hi,
I applied for H1 this year...can i know when the dip ends for this year...as of now my application didnt got selected in dip....do we have second dip for this year.....can any one tell help me about this.

Next H-1B quota will be opened in April 1, 2009
