Hi,
I have applied for L2 visa since my husband is in US.

my problem is ... my father name is gunasekar but from my childhood i used to write his name as gunasekaran so the same i have given for passport too. but now in my marraige certificate his name is displayed as Gunasekar but In passprt it is as Gunasekaran so will it be problem in the interview? will they reject my visa because of this?

please reply as early as possible since my interview date is on 7th may 2008 tommorrow (sorry for the late posting since just now i found this mistake)

Thanks ,
nithya

What identity proof you gave during marriage registration? If you had given your passport then it is the mistake on the registration department side and get it corrected.

The marriage certificate establishes the relationship between you and your spouse and the consulate takes the marriage certificate as evidence to issue dependent visa.

I am not sure how the consulate officials will handle this. I think you do not have time. You cannot cancel your appointment also.

Go for stamping and post your experience. Best of luck

The VO may consider this as a mismatch and may not issue the visa. But you can try explaining the situation and you can take as many as documents that can prove your relationship with your father. I am not sure how they will consider them. You do not have any other alternative at least for this moment. Go ahead with the appointment and do accordingly.

Best wishes.
