Hi ,
Please,let me know, is that mandatory to attend H1B ,where we are staying from the last 6 months or can we attend anywhere?

It is better to attend the interview in the consulate which is near your passport address. Say if your Passport address is in Karnataka, then you have to attend Chennai Consulate. Alternatively, if you are staying more than 6 months say in Pune with proper Address proof, then you can attend Mumbai Consulate.

I am now in another country and it has been six months that I came here.
Actually,I want to attend in INDIA only.So,will there be any problems if I attend in INDIA.

Well, may i know in which country you are living now? What is the problem if you attend interview form that country?

If it is first time H1B stamping, it is always recommended to get it stamped in your home country

Getting the first stamp in home country is the best way. There would never be a problem in getting it stamped from your home country.

There wont be any problem if you attend in India. I guess the Consulate port printed on your I797 should be in India? In some cases (those are attending in UK, Australia and Singapore) they were redirected to India. If you are lucky you might get it stamped in the country you are in now. Best of luck.
