Airline tickets to India

Hi - I am planning to go on a vacation to India (Hyderabad or Vizag) in July/Aug timeframe. Could someone suggest the best way to book tickets? What are the best days to travel in a week so that I can get cheap fares. I am on a H1 extension, so I believe I cannot take some routes. Any help on this is also appreciated.

It all depends on where you live.
If you live in west-coast, you better take Singapore Airlines or Malaysian Airlines. If you live in East-coast or mid west, you better take Non-stop to India. DO NOT take British Airways, if you don't have a valid visa on your passport.

Schools in US are closed from mid of June to mid of August and this is the period most of the people travel to India with their children. They typically block tickets in Jan itself for a travel in June.

Tickets during this period would be expensive.
