Hi,
This is my first visit to USA on H1B. Could you pls tell me the list of documents to be carried and produced (if asked for) at the port of entry.
Also, do I have to carry photo-copies of the documents.
Best Regards,
Vivek

hi vivek
welcome to US of A.
As far as I remember, the only piece of documents required at POE are your passport and H1B approval (I-797). You will be given a small white card i.e I-94 (Arrival-Departure Record), which will be stamped by the officers at POE, that goes right in your passport.
Just on the safer side, keep all your documents handy in a bag, so that you can produce them, in case they ask for.
Have a good one

Hello,
Thank you for the quick reply. What are the documents to be carried by H4 at the POE (my wife and kids)?

If they are traveling along with you, there should not be any problem for them. Else, it would be better to carry a copy of your I797 and visa stamped page just in case if asked.
