Hi,

My mom has been rejected for a visitor visa twice. The reason we gave for the visitor was to visit my sister, who is pregnant. Officer at the consulate did not believe the letter from the doctor confirming my sister's pregnancy. Hence she again went for the interview with all medical records. But for the second time, the officer did not even look at any of those documents and rejected her visa stating that he believes in the decision of the other officer who rejected her visa earlier.

So, we want to see if there is an appeal process where we can request to embassy to verify the documents. Because we did show strong ties to our home country and all the documents were very genuine.

Please help me out, if anyone has information.

Thanks,
Chaitu

There is no appeal. They can try again, but since your sister is pregnant or has a young child, your mother is suspected of traveling to assist (work) in the household. This is not acceptable under immigration policies.

Your MOM's primary purpose of visit should be tourism. You showed all the evidence to the VO that her primary purpose was to take care of her daughter expecting delivery which prompted the VO to refuse the visitor visa.
