I am filing for my mother's B2 visa extension. When she arrived in USA, she came on an Open round-trip ticket which is valid for 1 year. My question is:
Can I submit this ticket's copy as is or do I have to close the return ticket by actually getting a date for the return journey and then present the copy along with the rest of my documents to USCIS?
The concern is that if I take a specific future date and the extension case gets rejected then there may be a penal charge for preponing the travel.
Can someone please advice?
