My parents are in their home country and I am in US, I want to schedule a visa appointment for them, for doing that there are only two things that i need
1) The number on the HDFC bank receipt
2) copies of their passports.
Please tell me if anything other than above two will be required for scheduling an appointment, i will be grateful, thanks

I took appointment for my parents who are in India and I am in US. Other than HDFC receipt and passport copies, you need to fill the DS-156 form for them and DS-157 if they are 55 years of less. I google this DS-156 at https://evisaforms.state.gov/ You make sure you have all the information correctly especially Question 1-14 as you will not be able to change that information later. Same DS-156 form will show up once you enter the passport information and HDFC receipt information on VFS website so probably you can fill that information beforehand by asking your parents. I hope that helps!
