confused plz help

we have a checking account with a bank(but no savings account).
planning to have our parents here.

can anyone please tell me, if we have to show a balance of certain amount ,at that given time or is it ok to just show the bank transactions.

is it mandatory to have certain amount in ur account.

Get "Account Verification Letter" from ur bank.
Usually people say to have around $10,000 in the account would give the visa officer a confidence
that u can take care of ur visitors well.

Don't need to show the detailed transactions just the account opening date/average balance and last balance amount. I used the letter from the bank when I had less than 10K for visa purposes. So, the actual amount is not the only criteria but how long you have been in the US, what was the average balance, duration of an opened checking account etc will play a part too.
