Tax Statements and Language

Hi,

I am applying for my mother's visa. Basically I had two questions:

a) I have been to US only for the past 4 months and don't have any income tax return documents. Sponsor documents list this as one of the documents needed. Will there be any problem due to this?

b) I applied for appointment online and there was no option available to give interview in a langauge other than English. My mother though writes and understands English very well is not a good speaker. She prefers to give interview in Punjabi..What will be the procedure to do the same?

Any help will be greatly appreciated...

a) Should not matter , as long as you have employment verifucation letter, prrof of income and enough prrof for the financial backing to spport the visitor.

b) I guess you can ask for the translatoer at the time of interview.
