Hi,
We have taken online appointment for my in-laws thro' the following link
http://www.ttsvisas.com/Consignee.aspx?Type=EDB
And got the appointment on Dec 8th 2004 at chennai.
We got the reciept saying that - take the printout of this reciept and carry with other documents on the interview date. They didn't mention anything about the copies of sponseror documents which has to be sent earlier .
I read in some other queries, that the sponseror should send the copies of all his documents to the consulate office as soon as we get the appointment. Then on Interview date the applicant should carry the originals of all documents.
So pls help me who ever has taken the appointment in chennai.. Whether we need to send the documents now or my in-laws should carry those on 8th Dec itself.
Thanks.
Sasmi

This requirement is only for mumbai consulate.
For all other consulates - the docs are required at the time of personal i/v.

The list of required documents is on the chennai consulate website.
Also check path2usa for supporting documentation information.

Thanks a lot for answering my previous query.
I have one more question,
do we have to send separate set of documents to my father and mother.
or one set of document is enough for both. They have the appointment in
Chennai.
Also i have a brother who is a doctor working in Kuwait. So whether my parents should mention abt him that their son is in Kuwait? If both the children are aborad then is there any chances of rejection?

Thanks
Sasmi

If they are attending the i/v together , a single set of docs is all that u need. They have to mention abt all children (& their locations) if asked in the i/v.

Chances of rejection depends on visa officer interviewing them. there are cases where visas have been granted when all children are in the usa. It depends on how well one is able to satisfy the officer about ties to India as well as the interviewing officer.
