I would like my brother to visit me here in US with his family. His wife works for State Government (Tamil Nadu). Does she need to get a separate NOC (Non Objection certificate) when she go to Visitor Visa interview. She got one already in june '04 when she applied for her passport.
I understand that she should get leave approved from State government. Does the leave approval letter needs to be in any special format when we submit it in visa interview?
Please give me guidlines and your experiences.

Yes, a NOC is required stating her travelling to USA along with approval of the leave for the specifed time.

Murali, Thanks for your response.
She has got NOC few months back (June'04) when she applied for her passport. She has got her visa interview scheduled for 9th November. Does she need to get a new NOC or she can use the same one she got few months back?

It would be best to get a new NOC.....it would really help her case at the embassy too as the NOC would say exactly how much leave she has been granted and when she has to rejoin her duties, her post etc.

Thanks Murali.
You know that getting NOC is a tedious process with state government.
Do you have any suggestions to get through this process faster?
