Having L1 filling H1b - Potential Threat

Hi

I hv a valid L1 filed by my employer. I intent to file H1b thru a consultant. Would H1B approval mean that I necessarily have to leave my current emplyer and join the new employer.

I might be travelling to US on L1 during my H1B processing. (dont know for how long and when i will be back).

Please help. M stuck bcos of non clarification on this.

You don't have to leave your current employer even if ur H1 gets approved. Even if you go for stamping for ur H1 after the approval, u can choose between those 2 companies whether to be on a H1 or L1 with respective companies. Hope this helps! good luck!!
