Should the bank's account verification letter mention only the current balance in my account or should it also mention the total amount deposited in that account in the past 12 months?
This is a support document for I-134.
People who have taken this documents from their banks - how much time does it take?

If you look at the guide lines for 'Affidavit of support' i.e. I 134, you will find that there are three things which should be mentioned in the document from an officer of the bank.
1. Date account was opened.
2. Total deposits over the last one year
3. Current balance.
Although my bank was in a different state, and I couldn't go personally to meet the officer, they accepted a faxed request from me (in which I had explained the format) and I got the statement faxed to me with in a day.
Hope this helps.

Thanks for the info - as a side question, how much did your bank charge you and how much time does it take? I am banking with Bank of America and they are asking for a $30 fee ($20 for research and $10 for processing) and 5 days to deliver ....

The bank knows about the "Account verification Letter" if you call them they will send it to you. Depdens on the bank policy there can be some chagres as well for this kind of service, for emaple WellsFargo bank charges $10 for this kind of letter.
