i have one question,

at the consulate,will the officer usually go thru'
the old visa (stamped 8 yrs ago) ?

'cos my in-laws have overstayed during their last visit for a month...

they are going for their interview next week !

They may and may not depends, dont worry too much about it and makse sure that you follow th e process have al the documents in place and applicant are well prepared for the interview, and provide correct and authentic information.
