Hi,

I wanted to take a visa appnt for my parents back home in Mumbai. My dad has his own business and mom is working for western railway.

In the list given one of the supporting documents mentioned were:
* If person is an employee, then show proof of employment and proof of leave grant from the office.

But what if my mom just wants to take the visa and keep and is not coming soon. So how will she show the proof of leave granted from the office. Is that compulsory. If so what is the format for the same.

Please do advice.

Thanking u

Regards,

Let your parents apply for a visa when they want to travel. The leave sanction letter is important, especially for government employees I feel.
My Dad had just got a simple one stating that he's working at such and such a post and that he has been granted so much of vacation time to travel to the US.
good luck and I hope your folks get the visa easily!
