Return Air Ticket Question

Is it necessary to have a return air ticket when one arrives at the Port of Entry?

well it depends on which visa u r travelling...these days for visitor visa u need to have a return ticket bt not for h1B visa...
so pls clarify which visa???

ya...for visitor visa to USA frm India...it is necessary to hav a return ticket...
i got it confirmed frm four travel agents in india...including cox and kings (a reputed travel agency in india) as my mother in law was cumng here ..
all u can do is get the ticket booked with one year validity...so u can extend it later...
