What is Additional Administrative processing.

Hello,
Can someone help me understand it better. I applied for B1 Visa. The consular said your visa is approved but it will have to go through Additional Administrative processing. You will get your visa after this process is done. and this process is done in U.S. What is Additional Administrative processing and why will after this process will the printing of visa will be done. Please any1 can explain it.

Nothing to worry, it is a formal process and consulate wants to verify certain information about your and documents to submitted before issuing the visa.

Yes thats right nothing to worry i had same thing done to me and then i got 5 years visa...
So hang in there.

Ok will do.. Thank for the info much appreciated! In how much time did you get the your passport back with the visa, Here they told me it can take upto 3 months to get it.
