View Full Version : Vistor Visa Rejected twice....

My Mom & Dad applied for visitor visa on the 13th and 20th of September at Delhi. Got rejected both times. Both times they were told that the reason of rejection is that they would not return back to India. I had sent all documents properly. My Dad is a doctor and he is 65 years old. My Mom is 59 and she is a housewife. They showed lots of property, Income tax docs, Bank accounts etc. My brother is unmarried and is in India. I am on H1 visa.

I am very disappointed at the way the consolate makes a decision. Anyways the real issue is that my wife is pregnant and we are expecting twins in December( No my parents didn't mention this on either interview). We need someone from our family as we are very scared. Can someone suggest what I should do in this situation. My in laws can't come due to some reason.

I am thinking to apply again for my Mom only and send my wife's doctor's letter. It might not seem a good idea but twins might make the difference? But the negative is that they didn't mention it in their first 2 apperances.

Does anyone know anybody who got visa after 2 rejections. Please post as it would be very encouraging. All suggestions will be very helpful.

Thanks,

Delhi

There are many like you whos visa got refused even for 3 or 4 times and they got the visa after that so dont worry and appaly again after some time with more and better prepartion.
Search in this forum and Experience section

http://www.path2usa.com/experiences/welcomepage.php

and you will find many posting on this topic.

Since each case is different in its own difficult to make any more comments here, however remember Interview is the key must prepare them for the interveiw well.
Also in your particlaur case try calling some other relative in worst case if your parents done't get the visa again so that atleast some one availble to help your wife.

Thanks for your quick response. My major concerns are

1. Whether both my Dad and Mom should apply again or should I just go for Mom only?

2. Whether I should show that I am having twins. We didn't mention this in the first two applications. Will it help the third time.

Best Wishes

This is just a suggestion - not sure if it is the best thing in ur case.
If u apply for ur mom only, the fact that ur dad / bro are back in india might lend some credibility to the case wrt family ties.

Also, mentioning childbirth as one of the reasons could be risky (even if it is for twins). Such reasons are almost always cases for rejections.

Thanks ronline,

What would be the best time to apply third time for my Mom. Is 2-3 weeks good enough. We applied twice in consecutive weeks and got rejected.

Sorry to add to the confusion but here goes...

One of my friends recently had twins....he applied for visitor visas for his in-laws and the applications were rejected. Before asking his in-laws to try again, he got them a letter from the doctor saying that his wife needs support etc. The visas were then granted.

I am sorry, but I don't have further details. I will try to get hold of him to get more info.

Thanks for your input coolsriks, Could you please provide me more info about your friend. my phone number is 310-920-6039.

I have decided to apply for my Mom only but I am confused over whether to write about the twins in the applications.

If someone else has any experience please help...

Hello ,
I am also in the same situation. My wife is a pregnant and she is going to have twins. This is her second issue and we have a 5 yr old daughter who goes to school. My mother's visa was rejected in June this year. However at that time my wife was not a pregnant. She was to come to stay with us for 6 months.Just like for many parents, her visa was also rejected.BTW she is a widow and I have only one sister who is married and stays in Baroda.
Can you please provide some more info getting from your friend . I understand that your friend had only sent a letter from the doctor after the Visa was rejected and Chennai consulate changed it from Rejected to Issued ! Am I correct ? Please provide some info which may be useful for us. My mother will be going on Nov 16 th for her 2nd attempt.
I still not decided to inform during her interview about the twins or not ! This is a very tough situation.
Appreciate your help.Thanksonce again

Hi,
My case is also some what same as yours..My parents had applied twice and twice their visa was rejected from the Mumbai office. I am due in this month(oct) . Even i am confused and now think that my inlaws should apply this time.
If you come to know that the letter from the doctor helps then please let me know. But even we havent mentioned before about the delivery...so evrything seems confusing.
But still dont lose courage.
Regards,
Ravisha.

Hello,
Please share your experience how your mother's interview did go ? My mother is going on 4th.I had sent a letter from her doctor. Also, we got affidavits by mother stating all the property she has, affidavit from her father who is dependent on her. I just explianed the whole situation honestly in my covering letter to the consulate and requested for my mother's visa. I hope she will get it. However, we are still very tense and we dont't want to go through this entire process all over again and bear the disappointment one more time.

My mom was not tense for her third interview because she was very sure of getting rejected again. I think that worked in her favour as she was very honest and confident in whatever she said. The officer didn't ask much. My mom started by telling then that my wife is pregnent and she wants to be with us as this was her first grandchild. She was asked a few questions about my job etc and that was it. They didn't even ask why she was rejected twice earlier and why my dad was not with her the third time. It seems confidence and honesty is what the consulate officers mainly look for

My mother got her Visa approved today. We went with twin pregnancy as the reason. My mother told the officer that she wants to go to provide emotional support to my wife and me.She was asked couple of questions and was asked to pay the fees, after she gave her fingerprints.I dont know yet the length of the Visa.I had put all details in the other thread, which I started.
