I am currently on L1B visa in USA from last 2 years from company A, last year I have got my H1B approval for Company B (change of status application). I have not yet joined that company.

my query is that I am getting some good project offer from another company C. but I dont have any H1 from them.

is it possible to for me to use my H1B without joining company B (actual H1 sponsor). in that case I will not have any paystub from B to transfer my H1.

another query I want to apply for labor & green card, should it do it through my current employer ?

Please guide what is the right way to do that-

First of all, if u had filed for COS L1-H1 with ur H1 app then u shouldn't work for L1 company anymore. check the H1 approval, does it have I94 attached to it.
Second, no without having a valid H1 status u cannot go for H1 Xfr.

I checked my H1 approval, it has the I-94 attached.
but the recruitment guy of this company told me that doesnot matter, he told me from beginning onwards I am good to continue on my L1 till the time he finds project for me to start on H1b.

What should I do if I want to continue with my L1 visa only ?

ur L1 status is void as of ur H1 approval date. u shouldn't have continued ur L1 job. Its like u were on H1 since H1 approval date, but working for L1 company. U need to check with ur company attorney not recruitment guy, recruitment guy won't be asked to leave if u don't maintain ur status.
Also to go back on L1, u need to go out and re-enter back using ur L1 stamp or file another COS H1-L1.
