Visitor Visa issuance fee Rs 2000 ?

Hi all,

I read somewhere that, indian citizens need not pay the visa issuance fee of Rs 2000, which was effective from oct 2006.
Is it still effective ?
I am gonna send my mom for a visitor visa interview in Feb 08, so dont i have to send the 2000 Rs DD with her ?

Visa Issuance Fee for Indian Passport holders has been discontinued......No Need for that now......
