i have been visiting usa every year for more than ten years now. i have my own business in india and b4 that i worked in usa for 7 years. i have found that most of the desi people there r frustrated for one or the other reason.

most of u have good jobs but still i feel that people dont behave properly with other desis and lots of gosips and some have unnecesarry superior complex. they keep on comparing with people in india and actually always feel that they should go back but maybe they r stuck there due to money.

now a days in india there r great jobs available and some guys r getting more that RS 1.5 lakhs per month as salary. life in india is really great too. u have to take the right decesion at the right time.

most desi r frustrated due to following reasons

1. green card tension
2. job not ok . boss to be impressed
3. some have children problems as the children behave differently( ABCD)
4 pay not enough to keep all the expenses
5 savings not possible as they thought when they came to usa
6 jobs not that secure and tension in job
7 most feel very unsecure and hence do not lead a good life

what do u think?

100% correct. Fear of layoff. Tension in the family due to kids and/or Wife. The two greatest tension in US. Couple of my friends also told the same about life in India now a days.

I think you are generalizing a view-point too fast and prematurely. There are plenty of Indians in US living happily. If you wish to frame a general picture, one will find a similar picture in India. There are happy people and unhappy people in both countries. The reasons for unhappyness can change based on the situation, but the general mood of the population may be very similar. You need more observation before you reach the conclusion that "majority" of indians in US are unhappy.

Santashelper is right! This is some thing like greener pasture syndrome which affects only human beings. All living beings migrate to greener pastures and live happily as long as they get food. But few human beings make their lives miserable, always comparing to things that they miss.

In both India and USA one will get some advantages and disadvantages. Unfortunately there is no country that gives all that we want. One has to realize what he wants in life and live in the country that offers most of them. Otherwise they keep complaining about USA while in USA and end up complaining about India once they leave USA.

Happiness can be found within more than outside.

the point is that majority that is almost 95% desi r going through the problems i have discussed.

so when u r in usa u should be like the americans and enjoy life and dont think too much of savings..............which most do.......and hence r miserable

live like the americans...........and uncle sam anyways takes care of u after age 65.........social security cheques..........so why worry too much...........be happy and dont compare at all

I am in USA for last 7 years and I must say that I am pretty happy. I am much happier there than I was in India.
