DS-156 - Qno. 34

Hi,

I'm travelling to India soon at the same time my mom will be attending her visiting Visa iterview in chennai and she has plan to travel with me back to US as its her first international travel and she will be comfortable and come back to India after 3-4 months.

My concern is in DS-156 for Qno 34 : " Name of the persons & relationship with whom you will be travelling".

For the above questions is it better to answer as myname(daughter) or just keep it as NONE.

As am in India and as she saw me there just a week ago are there any chances of they not giving Visa ?

Any views and suggestions would be appreciadted.

VO would be having more visibility to the records than us, I guess transperancy would help.

In case if I plan to travel earlier by a week than plannes before and if she travels to US after 2 weeks of me travelled to US.in this case she can answer as "none" to ds-156 qno.34 right !

I feel no one can guess what will VO do. But for my mom's visa , we had ready answer for 'How you will travel to US, alone?' 'No my son is going to come and pick me up' and we did not mention anything in Q34. But VO never asked that question. So you can decide.....

I undersatand you are right , if i mention my name in Q.34 it would be obvious that am giving chance to VO to ask more questions !

I feel better to leave that field as 'NA'.
