Hi All,

I have a critical situation where my mom will be attending interview for her visiting visa in chennai consulate after me travelling to India that is when am in India she will be attending interview for B2 visa.

My concern is when am (sponser) in India are there chances of VO asking when your daughter is here in India , why do you want to travel to US?

(1) How are chances of gettting Visa where only my Mom is attending interview and I have a brother who is un-married and my Dad cannot make travel now and we have grand parents depeding on us at home.My mom is also an employee of a private firm.

(2) Though my mom will be going to interview in the month of JAN 2008, her plans to visit US are in the month of JUNE 2008, is it okay if we attend visa 6 months before travel ?

Any experience and views on above queries would be appreciated.

Thanks in Advance !

I dont see any problem in you being in India at that time.
I would recommend to not to attend so early.., April May can be the most suitable time frame.. Your choice though you can take a chance

Thanks for the quick response Murali.

If not June can I take my Mom travel to US along with me(Mid feb) to VISIT and send her back to INDIA after 4 months or so.

In such case in DS-156 for the question " persons & relationship travelling along with you to US" can she say my name and relation as daughter.

Or is it better to say NONE .

This is my last question before confirming the appointment, your view on this would be of great help.

Thanks alot !
