stamping in india

hi every body
does anyone go to india for stamping after july 16 2004.? i just want to know how long its taking and what r they asking in the interview? i heard from my friends 1.that its taking 2months process 2.. consulates r not giving visas also 3.saying that u have to stay here until we will get coformation from port of entry people (regarding finger prints) was it true?
we are in confusion .we have to go to stamping to india this year and i already took the appointment in october.

its the same day processing ..u get ur passport witin 2 days ....2 months is the wait time to get an appointment since u have an appt ...that shud not be a prb ...

From what i read from these forums and talked to some ppl , if u have all proper docs u ll be stamped ...
