Hi,
I got initial H4 stamping in India in 2006 and then H4 extension visa stamp in Mexico in 03/2007. In 2007, I got H1B approved. Now, I want to go for stamping H1B visa in Mexico. It was not clear to me from the consulate's website whether I am eligible to apply for H1B stamp in Mexico but anyway I got the appointment.
Can I apply in Mexico in this case?
When I was filling the form DS-156, for a few questions I got confused.
Q33 - Has anyone ever filed an immigrant visa petition on your behalf?
What should I write?
Option:
1. The name of company where my husband is employed(because that company filed my I-485 as dependent of my husband)
2. I filled.
3. My husband filled.
Q23 - How long will you be staying in the US?
What should I mention here? as my visa is valid till march 2010 but my I-485 is also filed as dependent by my husband's company.
so If I mention 2 years(as per my visa validity) then can they ask me then why did you file I-485(because they know it by Q33-above mentioned)?
Q25 - Who will pay for your trip?
If I write my husband will pay then Is there any negative impact or is it better to write that I will pay since I am working?
