Seniors Plz suggest..h1b Stamping interview

Hi Seniors,

I m planing to attend my h1B stamping interview in delhi in first week of november.

kindly consider the following queries:

1) In which manner we should arrange the documents as there will be lots of docs education ,work exp, certifications,h1b docs and there xerox copies.
Do we have to make seperate folder for h1b docs and other docs?
I m asking this in order to avoid any kind of hassel at the time of interview.

2) After interview the consulate will send the passport by courier which will take 4-5 days.Is it possible to collect the passport from consulate after 2 days as i have to return to shanghai.
I shall be thankfull to you for you valuable suggestions.

about arrangement of docs u can see other thread h and l sample docs..


once stamped u can collect the passport on the same day evening by showing the hdfc recipt, if not collected then they will handed to the courier.

so all the best

Make two sets of documentation u got. One set should consist of mandatory docs which u should be immediately ready with to hand over to VO upon his questioning. And second set consisting of supplementary docs. As fas as collection of ur passport is concerned go to Nehru Place near international trade tower and get it from VFS guys after showing ur HDFC receipt. I'm assuming u r a North Indian, because thats how ur name sounds to be.

Hi cool Hunk, You are right. He is attending the interview in Delhi. So, he must be aware of Nehru Place.

Yeah your r right i m from north india(CHD).
As u said we can collect our passport from VFS office @ Nehru place.
Could we colllect it on the same day of interview as i will go there from CHD.
and i really appreciate if you let me know any landmark near to VFS office in nehru place as i never been there.

You may inform VFS that you will collect the Paswsport in person. They will guide you.

After stamping only the very (if that happened to be a weekday) next day u will be able to collect ur passport that to after 12:30pm. I already mentioned it's international trade tower at Nehru place. Anyway call VFS call center at delhi (find VFS new delhi office number on www.vfs-usa.co.in) and they will guide u accordingly as Delhiramanathan said.

It is true that he can collect the passport after stamping thro VFS. If not stamped or queried(221) he will be handed over the passport then and there.
