Reg English appointments

Hi
I am tired of looking for tamil appointments.
If I book English appointment for my parents, can they request tamil translation in Chennai consulate?
My Father can manage English. Can my father answer for my mother in case she does not understand the accent when asked a question?

i was also trying to get an apt for my parents in kannada but i didnt get so i booked english apt for my parents. my dad is well versed with english but my mom can understand but she cant speak english.
when i was sending all the docs to my parents i sent around 50 questions n answers ( which i copied from Path 2usa members experiences )
n sendt it acccordigly my dad prepared my mom how to ans in interveiw. it really helped alot, and more over consulate officer asked only 5questions to my parents n only 1 question to my mom, which she could answer well. n thy got 10 years multiple visa.

Was there any difficulty for them to understand the accent?
I was just wondering whether it would irritate if the consular officer is asked to repeat the question over and again.....
