Hello everybody,
I am a US resident, and i have a Russian friend who has applied for the B2 visitors visa. She was denied today because it said she didn't do a good enough job at demonstrating ties to her country, and she didn't do a good enough job convincing them that she will return to Russia after the trip. She is only 19 years old, so she doesn't have a husband. She's a student full time, so she's not working. She explained to them that she was a student, and that she had family in Russia, but they didn't think that was enough.
Can somebody tell me what must she do to make them believe she will return to her home country after the visit? I sent her an invitation letter to help out, but was that a good idea?
She is feeling discouraged, but i want to convince her to reapply and try again. Does anyone have any information that might be useful? If so, thank you very much in advance.
