Thanks,

Could you please let me know what time you saw the tamil appointments? The timings are little confusing as even in this website below it says "All times are EST. The time now is <shows PST Time>."

If you know there is any pattern on appointment dates availability let me know. My parents visa was rejected and we are looking for appointments desperately as we are expecting baby next month.

Hi,

I had been keep checking VFS site for the past 15 days to get Tamil appointment at chennai consulate. Someone already posted on this forum stating that it is good to check Friday early morning 3-6 (EST). Last week I tried that and failed. The next day someone posted that he saw Oct 12th availability date for Tamil (4th OCT)at 9.15PM PCT. I missed that too. Then I made habit of checking VFS site every 1 hour all day. Finally I got the luck and yesterday around 9:30 Morning EST , I saw the appointment availability on NOv 26,27,28,29. I just filled up my parents passport information and entered into VFS site, by that time Nov 26 th availability had gone, so I took the 27 th date. As soon as I took the print out of my appointment letter again I checked for the availability date but by that time 28 th and 29 th dates also had gone. So I would say keep check, you will definitely get one. Good luck...

It will be really helpful if you could post here your parents interview experience and why they reject, what was the questions asked and what are all the documents you sent to them.? I would appreciate If you could share your experience here.

Thanks,
Raja.

Thanks Raja for the elaborate detail.

I have already posted my experience in one of a thread here i am posting again.

My parents were asked only four questions
Where is your son working
what is his pay
where are you working
how many children do you have
what is your income in india?

Immediately after this questions he mentioned your income is not sufficient to go for international travel, thought my father tried to explain that my son is sponsoring the translator refused to say anything back to the consulate officer.

One big mistake had happened while providing the documents they took only DS156, DS157 leaving all other documents with my parents and the consulate officer did not see any of the documents except the forms
