I am working as contractor with company A through my consultant. There is another consultant between Company A and my consultant which is the direct vendow for company A. Now company A wants to hire me full time but i see in my offer letter from my consultant which says i cannot seek employement with the company where i am working as contractor or sub-contractor. Is it a valid contarct? can they sue me if i take full time with company A? Please help with your suggestions.
Also...V\I do not have any contract with my present H1 holder consultant. I can leave them anytime. The only thing is that clause in offer letter which says you cannot seek employment with the client and client includes any n number of entities between end client and consultant company. Also it says that i cannot work with these clients for 12 months after quiting them. Does it makes any sense??

in terms of law, writing anything doesn't have any meaning, until unless it can be proved that ur company lost money or u have some kind of company confidential info which prohibits u to join ur competitor.
also any problem created by ur company may be negative since ur client won't hire any consultant from them. its kind of that they may lose business from ur company.
But still just to harrass u they can file a case against u.

so if they file a case against me, how valid it would be. I mean what do you suggest for this case?
