Hi Murali,

I have something urgent, pls can you help me. I have a H1 and have applied for a transfer of my visa H1 visa to a different employer. During this time of transfer from one employer to another with a visa transfer, it is advisable to travel outside the country. If I need to travel, when i re-enter the country, do i need to go for a visa stamping.

Please can you advise ono this.

just got this from my new company today - it's NOT advisable to travel while your petition is pending but u can if u get ur approval notice.

U can go for stamping only if u have an approval notice

You can convert to Premium processing to get the New Petition in 15 days. Once you have the petition, it is safe to travel.

If you have a valid visa stamped on your passport, you do need to go for Visa stamping again. Just keep the new Petition and old visa with you while entering into US and show it to the officer at POE.
