Hello,

It has been three years since my wife and I came to USA and we haven't been to India for a visit since then. Now my in-laws are planning to visit us around Feb / Mar 2008 as it is my father-in-law's 60th b'day and as we haven't met in 3 years now. My in-laws are going pay for their own trip so what documents do I need to send from here? Also how much balance should they show in their bank account? Would appreciate all the help.

Thanks,
Pravin.

First of all, thanks ramanathan for your reply. I wanted to know that apart from their property papers, tax returns, mother-in-law's leave sanction (she works at a private firm and my father-in-law is retired), how much bank balance will they have to show?

Also in case, we show that we are sponsoring the trip, how much balance will we need to show in our account here? I am asking this question as saw a few different answers in the forum like more than 5000 USD, 8000 USD, 10000 USD.

Thanks in advance for all your help.
