Hi There,
I have a similar situation, and I wanted to invite my parents for my delivery. We applied on the basis of tourism and did not mention abt pregnancy. They got 1 yr visa from chennai consulate.Just have other papers ready, and if all the needed papers r there, then usually it should not be a problem.
Hope this helps!

Thanks..so it is better not to tell about pregnancy.

I think so-coz then they can raise the fact that there r much better hospitals here to give care etc etc,and chances are high that visa maybe rejected...So,Good Luck :)

Its not advisable to mention and also its really not necessary. It might also give an impression that you bring old people to do the baby sitting.
My in-laws got 10 year visa when applied for the same and we didn't mention anything about my wife's delivery while applying for Visa.
