Hi,
I have come to US in B1 2 weeks back and i would be here for another 6 weeks. I would like my wife to join me here in US for the last 4 weeks. I went through many of the posts/replies and infered that my wife can come on B2 Visa.
I have the following documents with me
1) All my travel doc [ PP copies, Visa/I 94 and Ticket copy ]
2) Employment certificate
3) My invitation to my wife as well as requestion to US Consulate General.
4) My Bank statements both in US as well as in India.
5) Property docs on my name in India

But i saw I-134 referred in many of the posts here. I downloaded a copy of the document and went through it. Am not sure whether i-134 is applicaple for a person in B1. Could anyone please throw some info on this, and also any other documents that my wife needs to carry for the consulate interview.

Thanks & Regards
Madhi

You dont need I134.

Other then document you mentioned you need a letter from your employer company requesting a visa for your wife and endosrsing the fact of you being in USA and the duration of your stay in USA.

Hi Madhi,

You don't need an I-134.

Just tell your wife to take the documents that you have mentioned; they are perfect. Most probably the visa officer will not even ask for them.

Just make sure your wife answers the visa officer clearly and confidently. There should not be any problem.

My wife went to the Delhi office to apply for her B2, while I was here on B1. The officer gave her a 10 year multiple entry B1/B2 when she had applied for a 3 month B2. The INS people at New York JFK gave her a 6 month I-94.

So don't worry.

Ta ta,

Jagan.
