My parents had been for visa interview last year on 10th May 2003 and then as our project had just ended and we were supposed to go back to india we did not sponsor them. They were sponsored by my cousin(there niece) and were rejected. But then the consular had asked them if my parents had any other relatives in US they had said no. Again after an year they went for interview on 5th Aug 2004 and this time we had send all the sponsorship papers. The consular did not see any papers they kept on asking about there last interview. Why had they lied that no one was there when there daughter and son-in-law were still in US and etc etc. They got rejected again.

Murali what are they supposed to do now. Anytime they go there, they are going to take out the same old record, can they never come to visit us. Please kindly suggest what can be done. Is there any other option available for my parents.

Thanks,
Mik

So it become complex, if yoiu lie and there is very limited you can do.
Other then you wiriting an letter to cosulate and descibe about their(parents) mistake/blunder happed unknowingly.

also:

-Never lie or hide the information consulate will know about it one way or the
other. Provide conistant and genuine authetic information.

Generally when a consulate receives the application the first thing they do is to check the

history. meaning validating the latest info with all previous documents submitted by the
sponsorer and the applicant.

-When rejected (under potential immigrant clause-214b) it is highly
advised not to immidialtely retry kep some gap for few months,Unless there is dire need and

you think by providing additonal info will help

-While reapplying (sponsorer to) write a letter giving reasons why do you
believe the applicant is eligible to get the visa.

Search in this forum for simialr topic.

Hope this helps.

This interview thing is pretty difficult for some people. First you have to wait so long. In my parents second interview at the consulate there interview was for 10.00am but they were called at 1.30pm which is pretty bad. But anyway will wait sometime because my parents were rejected under 214(b) both the time and then write a letter about there mistake in the first interview, but hope they read that letter. Thanks anyway Murali
