Immigration Voice’s rally in DC is on Tuesday 18th September. If you live in the northeast, it is still not to late to participate in the historic event if you decide at the last moment.
Here is some quick information to come to this rally if you decide at the last moment.
(1). The rally will begin with a gathering at 9:00 AM at the Washington Monument.
(2). Participants will march from Washington Monument to Capitol Hill at 11:00 AM and reach Capitol Hill at around 12:30.
(3). We will be on the lawn of Capitol Hill between 12:30 and 3:00. A few members of Congress will address the crowd.
(4). The crowd will disperse after 3:30 PM.
Safety, Legality, Security: It is 100% safe and legal to attend the rally. Read more information about such questions and concerns here.
Lobby Day: It will be preceded by lobby day on 17th (Monday) where we will have over 110 meetings with members of the House and the Senate.
Situation Room: Immigration Voice volunteers and leaders will gather at a meeting hall at the Capitol Hill Hyatt Regency which will be the IV situation room for 3 days. The situation room will function from 5:00 PM Saturday (15th) to 10:00 PM on Monday (17th). It will be equipped with the office stationary, wireless network and other necessary facilities to plan and organize. The hotline number for situation room for all questions is 850-391-4966. More info is here.
What will you miss: If you miss this event, you will miss being part of event that had about 110 meetings with members of Congress, thousands of volunteers who participated in street march and about 10 lawmakers who will personally appear in Immigration Voice hosted events on 17th and 18th.
It’s still not to late. All you have to do is show up there. We have everything ready for you, including the banners and placards. Just bring a bottle of water for your own use.
Thanks,
Immigration Voice.
