My mother has her visa interview in September. My husband is sponsoring her trip. I have a younger brother who is not married. She is working and has got all the necc documents from her work place. My father left her many years ago and we dont know where he is and whether dead or alive. Is there a chance her visa might be rejected on this basis when she is asked abt my dad during the interview?

I dont think so that could be the only reason for refusal . so take it easy.
