DS-156 - A couple of Doubts

May be its asked before...but plz help:
1. I am inviting my parents to US on tourist visa. Is it preferable for them to fill up the DS-156 in their own hand writing, or can I just fill it up on their behalf ? does it really matter ?

2. q-27: Purpose of Visit : whats the safe/typical answer ?

1. I guess it doesn't matter whose handwriting the form is filled in as long as it is signed by your parents...would be a good idea to fill it in all Capitals...
2. From what I read in this forum...I think visiting son's family/ tourism should be their best bet!
