In Dilemma!!! Which consulate to go for stamping

Hi All,

Pls help me out here!!!

On my I129 the consulate for stamping is mentioned as Chennai.

I am working currently in Bangalore for past 4 yrs and my native belong to UP.The address on my passport also belongs to UP.

So my query is can i go to New delhi for stamping as earlier i have got my L-1 and B-1 visa from New delhi consulate. Will it cause a problem when on my I129 is mentioned as Chennai.

Pls help me out here...

On my I129 the consulate for stamping is mentioned as Chennai.
This does not matter.
I am working currently in Bangalore for past 4 yrs .
You have to mention and convince the VO that you are actually working
in Delhi region.


You already have 2 Visas so even Chennai will not be a problem.

Hi,
I had faced similar problem like you.
My passport is issued in HYDERABAD and i am a native of AP.

I went for delhi consulate(as it is mentioned by my employeer) ,but they redirected to me to chennai consulate. 4 months back i got transfer from gurgaon to hyd.
The final thing is when we fill the DS-156 FORM we need to speify the current address(for the past 6 months).This might cause problem.
Better attend at chennai only.

Note:It is based on my past experience .
