Hi, my friend's sister got her visitor visa who was sponsored by one of her realtives living in washington. And my friend lives in California. When her sister comes to visit US, does she have to land in Washington first as her sponsor lives there or can she first come to California and than go to washington? Do the immigration people check whether you are going to the same place where your aponsor lives as they asked her where she is going and she gave her sponsors address....please advise as she wants to come to california first and is going to book her ticket soon.
thanks

If you have a visa , you can land any airport in USA, without any problem as per your convenience. There is no rule which restrict based on sponsor's area airport landing.
