Please can some one tell me what FNU stand for?in visa given name is mentioned as FNU.

Hi,

As it turned out,my parents have the same issue.I searched a bit and it seems FNU means "First Name Unknown" and it seems we have to file an 1 824 to correct it,I got this info from some other boards and so I am not sure how far it is reliable.I am banking on Murali to help us out!
