How to Transfer money from India to USA

I would like to transfer Rs. 21 lakhs ($50K) from India to USA. Would it be possible to send such a large amount? If so, please let me know the process. Your input is very much appreciated. Thank you very much.

You can use remit2india. After certian amount limit you need to fill out a form and then you can send as much as possible legally, I believe.
