Please help - Dad's visitor's visa

Hi,

My mom is currently visiting me in US. My dad would also like to visit for a month but he needs to apply for a visitor's visa. Is it a good idea for my dad to apply for a visitor's visa while my mom is in US or should I wait for her to return to India?

What are the chances of him getting a visa while my mom is in US? What concerns can be raised at the interview?

Please help as soon as possible as I want to take the next available dates.

I dont see any problem and it wont have any effect whether your Mom is in US or in India. I would say go ahead and apply.
