Hello teammates,
I'm in a real confused situation like some other guys on the forum. It's more than 5 weeks now that my H1 case was approved and unlike other guys my employer did send me the copy of H1 receipt (I-797) just after the random selection.
However till date my employer didn't bother to inform me regarding the reception of H1 approval notice, though some 20 days back i was intimated (by my employer) that no approval notice has been received till now.
Do i need to call him again or shall i hold on for a while cos i don't have an idea of the time limit for which one should wait in order to get the H1 approval delivered.
Even though at times some negative thoughts come to my mind like my employer manipulated (I-797) and sent it through to me whereas it belongs to someone else. It's really perplexing to find whether the scanned receipt sent actually is a genuine one or not. Anyways it's hard to get my head over it all the time.
Btw my case was processed at Cali center. Any clue of time taken by Cali center to deliver H1 notices.
Help me seniors plz.
Regards.

My dear friend, Please wait for some more time. Cali centre is slow as they have huge HIB approval seekers in the lottery. After a week, you call your prospective employer. Good wishes to you.

Hello Bunty Walia,
I-797 can not be manuplated in general circumstances, i should say its na possible at all. so don't worry about that, last date for USCIS to process all the pending cases which came though lottary system is Last Day of September month each year. so you have good time and just wait, try to be in touch with ur US Employer but also try not to bother them much.
Best of Luck to You.

Thanks buddy,
Shall i interpret ur statement in a way that it's Cali center's processing and eventually the delivery of H1 approval which is an issue for me right now not that i start doubting my employer's sanctity? Thanks to Aloha as well.
Thanks.

At times employer receives I797 but dont send it to the candidate because if you have scanned copy you can book visa dates .
Why will employer do that ?
If he does have his side of documentation ready
If he wants you to go for visa interview on later dates
He will hold you till he is more assured that you will be placed once you arrive in US .
Tampering docs from USICS is not child's play I assume
Or simply sometimes they are just lazy buggers !
But just a thought !! : )
Cheer up now
