Change of status

Hello,

We are in US and my wife recently got H1B visa approved.
At present she is on H4 visa. We are planning to go to India in Nov.

Therefore,

1. Will her H4 status be automatically cancelled on 1st Oct.?

2. On our India trip, if she doesn't get H1 stamped, can she come back on H4?
or, will she again have to get H4 visa stamped?

Please provide your suggestions on this issue.

1. She must enter back into USA on a H1b Visa in order to get H1B status.
She can come back on H4 but then her status will be H4. Best thing is to plan to get H1 stamped before enter into USA.
