H1B transfer & reentry

Hi,

I got my H1B transferred and have to leave and re-enter US. I was planning to do it through Canada bt I've heard that people who go to Canada for H1B stamping are sent back to their country of citizenship for stamping. Do you know if this is authentic, any views? I decided to go to Mexico as another option. Does anyone have any idea about stamping at Mexico?

Why do you have to re-enter after H1B transfer? I have got my H1B transfer and did not have to do this. I got an updated I94 with the transfer.

I did not get an I-94 attached and so I have to re-enter.
