Hi Seniors,

I am applying for my interview date for H1B visa at Delhi Consulate for August 2007, I have some questions for Documents to carry with me.

1. Shoud I carry my Current pay slips with, yeh yes then for how many months.

2. Do I require to show any bank balance in my personal saving accounts at the time of interview. Should I carry any bank statement showing/saying the amount I have in my saving bank accounts. If yes then would the bank statement would be sufficient or I need a certificate saying the amount in my bank.

3. I am married and my wife is in UK (British Citizen), in that case Do I need to show the proof my marriage (Marriage Certificate/Photos etc) even she is not accompanying me to USA at all (as she lives in UK).

4. I have a valid UK Spouse visa on my passport. which is valid till march 2008, I have travelled to UK this year for few months, decided not to live in UK I returned back and applied for H1B for US. Does this situation affacts my Interview/Questioning/Possibility_to_get_H1B_Visa?

5. I live in Punjab and I speak english well, still I am thinking about Hindi as my language of interview, will that affact my interview at all and the impression on the interviewer.

Thanks in advance,

Best Regards,
Aloha

Hi Seniors,

1. Shoud I carry my Current pay slips with, yeh yes then for how many months.
its not required but good to have, take atleast 3-4 months of payslips.

2. Do I require to show any bank balance in my personal saving accounts at the time of interview. Should I carry any bank statement showing/saying the amount I have in my saving bank accounts. If yes then would the bank statement would be sufficient or I need a certificate saying the amount in my bank.
Again not required, but good to have, take atleast 6 months statement.

3. I am married and my wife is in UK (British Citizen), in that case Do I need to show the proof my marriage (Marriage Certificate/Photos etc) even she is not accompanying me to USA at all (as she lives in UK).
You do not need to carry your marrage certificate with you as you are not going there as a dependent.

4. I have a valid UK Spouse visa on my passport. which is valid till march 2008, I have travelled to UK this year for few months, decided not to live in UK I returned back and applied for H1B for US. Does this situation affacts my Interview/Questioning/Possibility_to_get_H1B_Visa?
Travelling to other contries should not be a problem to you especially UK. :)

5. I live in Punjab and I speak english well, still I am thinking about Hindi as my language of interview, will that affact my interview at all and the my impression on the interviewer.
Take English only, if you can not talk in english properly they will doubt your ability to work in an all english environment.

Thanks in advance,

Best Regards,

I was in India on vacation and had to get my H1 stamped to return back. I was sent to an Indian VO and the first question he asked was
Do you have a latest payslip?

Secondly, I agree that if you speak good english, it is better to go for english interview and preferably try to get an American VO. Indian guys can be tricky at times, coz they ask questions just for the heck of it.
