Hi,

My husband has come to US on L1 n myself n kids on L2. Though my husband has been trvelling to US from Oct 2006, it is only in Apr 07 did he move us from India to here and also that he was in the rolls of US since April.
That leaves us with only 2 months payslip as of now. Since our plan is to return to India by 2009 when his L1 expires, we want his mom and my parents to visit US by then.

Is it appropriate to apply for my MIL's visa right away. Can I apply for my parents visa also along with hers.

Please advise. Since we are new here any kind of suggestion / help is highly appreciated.

If he has good amount of savings in his account he can sponsor Parents/In-laws any time. if not wait for some time till you have some good amount in bank and then sponsor them.
Although the bank balaceof sponsor is not the only criteria But in your situation when he is compratively a new to USA, visa officer will give more waight to bank balance to accept his claim as a sponsor.
Or else, if your parents/in-laws are capable of showing thier own financial backing to support thier trip, then no need of any aponsorhip and they can apply any time.

Thanks Murali. However a couple of more questions.
What is considered a good bank balance.

Also, if my parents can self sponsor a trip, should i still give all my details here.

Thanks

Its usually said that $5K is fine but having more than $10K is definitely safe.
