A bit confused here..(Kolkata consulate)

Hi guys,
my parents interview is on 21st June at Kolkata. Everything is set.
But I am a bit confused here:
when are we suppose to submit the documents to the consulate or VFS cos when we called Kolkata VFS they said my parents can carry the docs along with them on interview date no need to submit it earlier.
But if we dont submit it earlier how will the VO read all those docs (I might sound silly, but this is really bugging me)
do the VO have so much time to read all docs? (cos when I came in H4 my for about 5 minutes only)
Anyone applied or applying in Kolkata pls help.

The VO is not going to read all the documents. He will first go through only the DS forms. Then if he needs any documents which can clarify his doubts, he will ask for it specifically. Some times he might ask for sponser's file and applicant's file and just give a glance.
So make sure the important documents are easily available for him. That is the reason we follow the proper arrangements of the documents.
